Application Procedure

Step 1: Visit the official website of The High Court of Manipur at www.hcmimphal.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the “Apply here for the Post of LDA / GROUP – D posts” link.

Step 3: Register yourself using your valid personal email ID. All future communication will be sent to this email address.

Step 4: After successful registration, your Login ID and Password will be sent to your registered email.

Step 5: Log in using the provided credentials and click on “Apply Now” against the desired position.

Step 6: Fill in all the necessary details accurately and completely in the online application form.

Step 7: Upload scanned copies of your recent passport photograph, signature, left thumb impression, Class X certificate, SC/ST/OBC certificate (if applicable), and graduation certificate (only for LDA applicants).

Step 8: Pay the examination fees online through Net banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card. Note that applications without the examination fees will not be accepted.

Step 9: Review your application and submit it before the application deadline.

Detailed Information

Position: Lower Division Assistant (LDA)

Number of Posts: 27 (Subject to Change)

Pay Scale: Level-4 (Rs.21,700 – 69,100) of MS(RP), 2019 per month, along with other admissible allowances as per the Rules.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate/Degree holder from a recognized University/Institute.
• Must possess basic knowledge of Computer Operation.

Age Criteria

Every candidate must have attained the age of:

• 18 (Eighteen) Years and not more than 43 (Forty-three) Years as on the last date of application form submission for individuals belonging to SC & ST.
• 18 (Eighteen) Years and not more than 41 (Forty-one) Years as on the last date of application form submission for individuals belonging to OBC.
• 18 (Eighteen) Years and not more than 38 (Thirty-eight) Years as on the last date of application form submission for candidates not covered by the above categories.

Mode of Application

Candidates are required to apply online through the official website www.hcmimphal.nic.in.

Examination Fees

• Rs. 600/- for UR Candidates.
• Rs. 300/- for OBC/ST/SC Candidates.

Selection Process

A select list will be prepared based on the merit of the Examination.

Examination Pattern

The examination for the LDA position consists of the following components:

• Written Examination – 150 marks
• Computer Typing – 20 marks
• Viva Voce – 30 marks

The selection of candidates will be based on their overall performance in the above three tests.

Syllabus

The written examination syllabus includes:

• English Language – 50 marks (50 multiple-choice questions)
• General Awareness – 50 marks (50 multiple-choice questions)
• Quantitative Aptitude – 50 marks (50 multiple-choice questions)
• Cut-off – 60 marks (in aggregate)
• Duration of exam – 150 minutes
• Candidates in the ratio of 5:1 of the total number of vacancies will be shortlisted based on the merit of the written exam.

The Computer Typing test will be conducted for 5 minutes for candidates shortlisted in the written examination. The minimum net typing speed required is 35 w.p.m.

Viva Voce/Interview will be conducted for candidates who qualify in the Computer Typing Test.

The methodology for awarding marks for the Computer Typing Test will be in accordance with the High Court of Manipur’s Notification No. HCM/P-65/2019-Estt.(1)/19995 dated November 17, 2022.

• Desirable: Driving experience with Driving License.

• 18 (Eighteen) Years and not more than 41 (Forty-one) Years as on the last date of application form submission for individuals belonging to OBC.
