Selection Procedure:
The selection process for the Assistant Manager position consists of the following stages:
Preliminary Examination: The Preliminary Examination assesses candidates in various areas, including reasoning, English language, computer knowledge, quantitative aptitude, decision making, general awareness, economic and social issues (with a focus on rural India), and agriculture and rural development (with an emphasis on rural India). This stage involves a total of 200 questions with a maximum score of 200.
Candidates are required to qualify in the preliminary examination to proceed to the next stage.
Main Examination: The Main Examination is the second phase of the selection process. It consists of multiple sections, including Test of Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Decision Making, General Awareness, Economic & Social Issues (with a focus on Rural India), and Agriculture & Rural Development (with an emphasis on Rural India). The total score for the Main Examination is also 200 marks.
Shortlisting of candidates for the Main Examination will be based on their performance in the Merit Section, which includes General Awareness, Economic & Social Issues, and Agriculture & Rural Development.
Interview:
Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination will be invited for an interview, which carries a weightage of 50 marks.

- SC/ST/PWBD: Nil (Application Fee) + Rs. 150 (Intimation charges) = Rs. 150
- All Others: Rs. 650 (Application Fee) + Rs. 150 (Intimation charges) = Rs. 800
Emoluments and Service Conditions: Selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of Rs. 44,500/- per month in the pay scale of Rs. 44,500 – 2,500 (4) – 54,500 – 2,850 (7) – 74,450 – EB – 2,850 (4) – 85,850 – 3,300 (1) – 89,150 (17 Years). This scale is applicable to Officers in Grade ‘A’. Additionally, candidates will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. The initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately Rs. 1,00,000/-.
