The CHO cadre is an integral part of the Ayushman Bharat initiative, aiming to strengthen Sub-Centers as Health and Wellness Centers (H&WCs). These centers play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive package of primary healthcare services, including disease prevention and health promotion, to communities. As a CHO, you will lead a primary healthcare team comprising Female Health Workers (ANMs), Male Health Workers (MPWs), and ASHAs, all working under the Sub Centre.

Required Eligibility– MBBS Degree with Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in relevant field from a recognized Medical College and Registered with Assam Medical Council/ Medical Council of India. – Age Limit: Up to 43 Years as on 1st April 2023– Medical Graduate (MBBS) preferably with 2 years experience in Epidemiology/ Public Health. – Rs. 50,000/- – Medical Graduate (Ayur/ Homoeo) with MPH/ DPH with 2 years experience in Public Health. – Rs. 30,500/- – M.Sc. Recognition
Candidates’ B.Sc.(Nursing) or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree should be from an institution or university recognized by:

  • The Indian Nursing Council
  • Assam Nurses Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council

Registration
Applicants must hold the designation of Registered Nurse Registered Midwife (RNRM) from the Assam Nurses Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council.

Certificate Submission
Candidates are required to provide a Certificate issued by the Principal of their nursing college, confirming the successful completion of the Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health.

Age Limit:

  • You should be less than 35 years of age as of 1st June 2023. However, this age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC and ST candidates.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Proficiency in regional/local language and dialect.
