What Is Northeast Frontier Railway Looking For?

NFR is on the hunt for individuals who excel in various sports disciplines. This is your chance to turn your sporting achievements into a rewarding career. The sports disciplines include:

Educational Qualification:

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

• Level-2 Or Level-3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent examination. Education qualification must be from a Govt. Recognized Board/Council/Institution.
• Level – 1 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Age Criteria:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 25 years as of 01-January-2024. No relaxation in upper or lower age limit will be permissible in this recruitment.

Selection Procedure:

The selection process involves two stages:

1. Trial of sports performance: Candidates will be assessed based on their game skill, physical fitness, and coach’s observations during trials.
2. Interview and assessment: For sports achievements, educational qualifications, etc.

• For General Candidates: Rs. 500/-
• For SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen, Women, Minorities, and Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/-

• The offer of appointment will be based on merit.
• In case more than one sportsperson score the same marks, preference will be given to the younger candidate.
• All selected candidates will undergo a probation period of two years.
• Northeast Frontier Railway reserves the right to make rectifications and updates as required.
