In anticipation of the upcoming “Khel Maharan” event, the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam, is seeking applications from interested and qualified candidates for Walk-in Interviews/Skill Tests for the following positions:

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Senior Technical Expert
- Number of Positions: 2
- Age Limit: 45 to 65 years
- Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized government educational institution.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience as a sports administrator in government/semi-government departments, with a track record of organizing sports competitions/games sanctioned by the State Government, Central Government, SAI, or any other recognized government body.
- Qualification: Master’s degree or equivalent qualification/Bachelor’s degree with a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management or equivalent from a recognized educational institution with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Responsibilities:
- Execute planned strategies for Khel Maharan as per provided guidelines.
- Provide technical expertise and support.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the reporting authority.
2. Young Professional
- Number of Positions: 2
- Age Limit: 22-32 years
- Educational Requirement: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized government educational institution.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in technical support for conducting sports competitions/games organized by the State Government, Central Government, SAI, or any other recognized government body.
- Qualification: Candidates must have knowledge of computer applications.
- Responsibilities:
- Data entry.
- Assist in any other tasks assigned by the reporting authority.
3. Data Entry Operator
- Number of Positions: 2
- Age Limit: 22-32 years
- Educational Requirement: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized government educational institution.
- Qualification: Candidates should possess a 1-year Diploma in Computer Application.
- Responsibilities:
- Accurate data entry.
- Assist in any other tasks assigned by the reporting authority.
General Terms & Conditions:
- Salary will be determined based on qualifications and work experience and will be negotiated during the interview.
- The selected candidates will be appointed on a contract basis until January 31, 2024, starting from the date of the offer letter. These positions do not guarantee future regularization.
- Selection for Senior Technical Expert and Young Professional positions will be based on performance in the Walk-in-interview and meeting the prescribed criteria. Data Entry Operator candidates will undergo a computer skill test.
- The offer of appointment is contingent upon the verification of original certificates/testimonials during the interview/skill test and completion of other formalities.
- Selected candidates will receive a consolidated salary without additional benefits such as medical or HRA.
- Candidates will not be eligible for TA/DA for attending the walk-in-interview/skill test.
- All candidates participating in the interview/skill test must submit their bio-data along with photographs. Original documents and self-attested photocopies (Admit Cards, Marksheets, Certificates, etc.) pertaining to Educational Qualifications, Experience, Date of Birth, etc., are mandatory for verification by the competent authority during the interview/skill test.
