We invite online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the position of Agriculture Officer, TAFS, Group-B Gazetted under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of Tripura. This role offers a Pay Scale of Rs. 10,230-34,800/- with GP Rs. 4,800/- and pay level 13 of Tripura State Pay Matrix, 2018.TRIPURA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (TPSC)RECRUITMENT 2023

Category-wise posts:

• UR: 40 (Ex-SM-01)
• SC: 08 (Including 02 for PH)
• ST: 12

Total: 60

The number of posts may vary based on departmental requisitions.

For the PH category, priority will be given to Deaf and hard of Hearing for one post, and among other categories (Loco Motor Disability including cerebral palsy, Blindness & Low Vision), only one post will be available based on merit and availability. This is in line with the Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare letter dated 23-11-2022.

Educational qualifications for direct recruits:

• Essential: A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture from a recognized University/Institution.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Agro-climatic conditions of Tripura and knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok.

To apply, applicants must have a Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC) as per the Department Notification dated 07-07-2023.

Age Limit:

Maximum 40 years as of 11-09-2023, with relaxation for ST/SC candidates, Government Servants, and other specified categories as per State Government rules.

Selection Procedure:

• Written Examination (180 marks, Multiple choice type test)
• Interview/Personality Test (20 marks)

Scheme of Examination:

• MCQ Part I: English & General Knowledge (30 marks, OMR based)
• MCQ Part II: Agriculture (150 marks, OMR based)
• Interview/Personality Test (20 marks)
  Total: 200 marks

Mode of Recruitment to TAFS Grade-I:
The number of candidates called for the personality test is based on the number of vacancies.
