Employment Notification – Contractual Medical Officer Positions

The Tripura State AIDS Control Society, operating under the aegis of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, invites applications from qualified medical professionals for the position of Medical Officer on a contractual basis. This recruitment notice supersedes the earlier advertisement vide no F.3(2-6)/Estt/Recruitment/TSACS/2020-21 dated 22nd December 2022. There are a total of 07 (Seven) vacancies available.

Position Details:

Position: Medical Officer
Remuneration: Rs. 72,200/- per month

Educational Qualification:

• MBBS with valid registration from the respective State Medical Council/NMC
• Work Experience in HIV/AIDS Program in field settings
• Candidates with MD Medicine/Diploma in Medicine will be preferred
• Post Graduates from Clinical Discipline will also be considered
• Good working knowledge of computer and MS Office

Important Note: Applicants with 6 months of work experience will be given preference.

The envelope containing the application should be sealed and super-scribed with “Application for the post of Medical Officer” along with the applicant’s name and details. Applications must be received by the office on or before 5th September 2023, 4:00 PM (excluding Government holidays). Late applications will not be accepted, and the authority shall not be responsible for postal delays.

Selection Process:

The selection process will consist of a walk-in-interview. The weightage for selection will be as follows:

• 50% weightage for Academic Performance Index (API)
• 50% weightage for interview

No travel allowance (TA) or daily allowance (DA) will be provided for attending the interview.

General Instructions:

• Age limit: Maximum 40 years (with 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/PWD/EXS candidates)
• Reservation for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PWD, and Women candidates will follow state norms.
• Knowledge in Bengali & Kokborok will be desirable and may offer preference.
• Knowledge of computers is essential.
• The recruitment committee reserves the right to cancel the advertisement partially or entirely without assigning any reason.
• All positions are project-oriented and sponsored by the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), New Delhi. The Government of Tripura bears no responsibility for post continuity.
• Candidates selected on a contractual basis shall not have any claim for permanent absorption under the State Government after the contract period.
• After recruitment, a probation period of 3 (Three) months will be applicable.
