Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have completed their 12th grade from a recognized educational institution with credit for representing their State/National/International level in games, sports, and athletics. It’s important to note that educational certificates other than those issued by State or Central Boards should be accompanied by Government of India notifications declaring their equivalence to 12th-grade qualifications for Central Government service.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for this role should be between 18 and 23 years of age as of 01/08/2023. This means they should not have been born earlier than 02/08/2000 and later than 01/08/2005.

Age Relaxation

  • Scheduled Caste / Tribe: Up to 5 years in the upper age limit.
  • Other Backward Class: Up to 3 years in the upper age limit.
  • Departmental candidates with at least 3 years of continuous service under the Central Government: Up to 45 years for SC/ST and up to 40 years for Gen/EWS/OBC in the upper age limit.

Participation in Sports Events

Candidates should meet the following criteria to be eligible:

  • Individual Event: Represented the country in Senior/Junior International tournaments, or represented a State or equivalent unit in National Games/National Championships at Senior/Junior level, or won any medal in All India Inter-University Championships, or secured a Gold Medal in National School Games/Championship.
  • Team Event: Represented the country in Senior/Junior International tournaments, or represented a State team or equivalent unit in National Games/Championship at Senior/Junior level, or was a member of a medal-winning team in All India Inter-University Championships, or secured a Gold Medal in National School Games/Championship. It’s essential that the candidate was a playing member of the team.

Physical Standards
