Overview:

The Indian Navy is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the position of Tradesman Mate (TMM), classified as Group “C” Non-Gazetted, Industrial. As a Tradesman Mate, you will play a crucial role in the production, maintenance, and general upkeep of various units within the command. Position Details:

• Position: Tradesman Mate (Group “C” Non-Gazetted, Industrial)
• Pay Band: Level 1 as per Seventh CPC (Pay Scale: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900)
• Total Vacancies: 362 (Subject to change)
• Location: Andaman and Nicobar Command

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the position of Tradesman Mate, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Age: Between 18 to 25 years as of the crucial date.
• Educational Qualifications: 10th standard pass from a recognized Board/Institution and a Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the relevant trade.
• Eligibility for PwBDs: Candidates with benchmark disabilities as per specified categories are eligible to apply.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the Tradesman Mate position consists of the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit, up to the ratio of 1:25 to the number of vacancies. Merely fulfilling the basic selection criteria does not guarantee selection for the written test.
2. Written Examination: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a written examination. The examination will consist of objective-type questions covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General English & Comprehension, Numerical Aptitude/Quantitative Ability, and General Awareness.
3. Resolution of Tie: In case of a tie in aggregate marks, the candidate with the older date of birth will be given preference.
4. Document Verification: Provisionally selected candidates will undergo document verification to verify age, education, identity, category, and other relevant documents.
