Position Details

Tezpur University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in the following subjects:

1. French Language (01 position)
2. Chinese Language (02 positions)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

A. Essential Qualification:

• A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET.
• Candidates with a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations are exempted from NET/SET/SLET under certain conditions.

OR

B. Foreign Ph.D.

• The Ph.D. degree must be obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking by QS, THE, or ARWU.

Emoluments

Appointed Assistant Professors will receive a fixed emolument of Rs. 82,000/- per month, with no additional allowances.

Note: Candidates who do not register by the specified date and time will not be interviewed. Eligible candidates will appear before the Selection Committee through GOOGLE MEET as per the above schedule. The interview link will be provided to shortlisted candidates before the interview.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic qualifications, experience (as per Annexure-II), and a pre-interview presentation. The final selections will be based on the performance in the interview.
